ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN STUDIO II
PROJECT 3. Designing with Architectural Principles + Materiality + Context + User :
ATELIER BY THE STREAM
For the final project of the semester, we are required to design an atelier by the stream at Taman Wawasan, Puchong. This project is intended to accommodate 2 person, including one family member and ourselves; for a 2D1N stay. Within 100 square meter, the atelier must respond to the immediate tropical site context and info based on the data and analysis carried out during site visit.

WORKSHOP 1
In this workshop activity, we were required to come up with a series of analysis based on the Site Data compilation; in forms of diagrams. Following on would be the Site Use Alternatives where we zone down into microsites that would be further integrated as our individual project site.

WORKSHOP 2
In this workshop activity, we were required to produce technical drawings for our project, alongside a sectional detail drawing that reflect the materials spelled and the construction of it.
FINAL PROJECT
D' NOVA
Sitting across the stream that flows through the entire park, D’ NOVA is an exercise in TRANSFORMATION achieved through the manipulation of homogeneous GRID modules. This atelier is crafted with an incomplete or PARTIALLY-DONE form by keeping the structure as TRANSPARENT as possible, responding to the natural light and ventilation within the context. Two structures work independently while interactions between both users flows as one, providing adequate personal workspace for both. The EXPERIENCES that my sister and I forge during our stay and the reconciliation to the surroundings is what deems this piece of architecture COMPLETE; achieving strengthening of relations.
