PROGRESS
WE WERE GIVEN A 4 WEEKS' WINDOW OF COMPLETION SINCE ANNOUNCMENT OF THE PROJECT BRIEF.

WEEK 2
/ COMPLETE 6 POINTS & LINES FROM REFERENCE PHOTOS
/ PRODUCE IDEATION SKETCHES BASED ON ONE FINAL IMAGE
- image selected to be taken as base; able to reflect understandings on lines, planes and volume.
I finalized the 6 images and proceeded to select one of them to be the base of my model. I chose a rather complex one with a distinctive focal point so I knew where to focus on later.

Some ideation sketches was also produced through both digital and manual means, illustrating how the lines on the base would reflect in accordance to the orientation of the sticks.
WEEK 3
During this Independent Learning Week, we were given ample time to focus working on the assignments given without any lectures or tutorials.

Throughout this week, I was able to produce the required mock-up models and further gain feedbacks from my tutor to know where to improve. The quality of the space was paid with much attention too.

Improvements were made through reflection from mock-up models
/ TO FINALIZE ON SKETCH IDEA

REVIEW
This assignment was indeed a rewarding kickstart for this module. As a student with watercolor painting background, it was indeed a eye opener for me as it was the first time I interacted with artwork in 3D apart from the 2D platform that I was always immersed in. Keeping up the workmanship of the model with all the skills obtain from lessons and tutorial videos was quite challenging too. Design elements were incorporated not only in 2D but also in 3D form as the model itself should reflect our understandings from the findings and research done. All in all, it was a fruitful assignment as we hold on to these knowledge and skills while we march into the one next.
